Omzet Judi Online di Sumbar Tembus Ratusan Juta per Bulan
Polda Metro Jaya berhasil mengungkap kasus judi online yang beroperasi di Sumatera Barat (Sumbar) yang omzetnya mencapai ratusan juta rupiah dalam tiga bulan terakhir.
Tersangka utama berinisial FA (23). Dia ditangkap oleh tim penyidik Direktorat Reserse Kriminal Khusus Polda Metro Jaya pada Jumat (20/9/2024). Omzet bisnis haram ini berkisar antara Rp 200 hingga Rp 300 juta per bulan.
“Tersangka sudah beroperasi selama kurang lebih tiga bulan dengan omzet mencapai ratusan juta rupiah setiap bulan,” ujar Direktur Reserse Kriminal Khusus Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Polisi Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Selasa (24/9/2024).
FA tidak bekerja sendiri. Ia dibantu oleh seorang programmer website yang saat ini masih dalam proses identifikasi oleh penyidik Subdirektorat Siber Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya. Tersangka juga terhubung dengan jaringan judi online di luar negeri, khususnya di Kamboja.
Dalam keterangannya, Ade Safri mengungkapkan bahwa Fajri awalnya hanya pemain judi online sebelum akhirnya terlibat lebih jauh sebagai penyedia rekening dan marketing untuk situs perjudian.
FA mengelola operasional bisnis judi daring ini dari rumahnya di Ampalu, Desa Ganting Mudiak Selatan Surantih, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Sumbar.
Selain itu, FA juga bertanggung jawab atas pengecekan laporan harian, penghasilan, serta pengelolaan rekening penampungan deposit pemain.
“Tersangka menggunakan beberapa rekening yang didapatkan dari temannya untuk menampung dana hasil judi online,” jelas Ade Safri.
Dalam operasi penangkapan tersebut, penyidik Polda Metro Jaya menerapkan Pasal 45 ayat (3) jo Pasal 27 ayat (2) dan/atau Pasal 303 ayat (1) KUHP, serta Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2010 tentang Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang (TPPU). Tersangka terancam hukuman maksimal 10 tahun penjara dan denda hingga Rp10 miliar.
